Site of Lower Harbor Gate with St. Julian's Church in the foregroundThe old Quay gate, which led to the Harbor was pulled down early in the 19th Century, it stood about 40 yards west of the St. Julian's Church. It is worth mentioning that St. Julian was the patron saint of ferry men, quite appropriate with the summer tourist boat trips to the Isle of Caldey.St. Julians Chapel once stood at the end of the Harbor Quay.
